I am SO excited to officially announce what I’ve been working on for the last year! I’m writing a book called Simply Keto! A little over two years ago when I started this journey I never would have imagined making this very announcement. I had spent so many years spinning my wheels, only to gain more weight, and lose more hope with each failed “diet” attempt.
I’ve poured my heart and soul into this book with every detail of my weight loss journey, helpful information, advice, tips, and over 100 easy recipes. Simply Keto will release in early December, but is available for pre-order now on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Indie Bound. I’ll be sure to share more soon, but I’m beyond excited to share the cover with you all today! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being the best support system I could have ever asked for.
Hey everyone! Thank you all so much for your sweet messages, thoughts, prayers, etc! I have filmed most of my recovery, and now will be releasing them, as well as current updates! As always, you can follow me on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter for current updates!
Below is my surgery day vlog, and I’ll be posting more very soon!
Hey guys! If you follow me on social media then you know that I’ve announced that I will be having some of my loose skin removed on October 5th, 2016. After losing 110 lbs, I feel so much better, and now this is just the next step for me. I did A LOT of research, and met with several surgeons before deciding. Ultimately, with the help of my plastic surgeon, I decided to have a lower body lift, tummy tuck, breast lift, liposuction, and fat grafting (from the liposuction) to my breast (instead of getting implants). I’m not against implants, it’s just that I still have quite a bit of breast tissue, and really don’t think it’s needed at this time.
My surgeon is Dr. Stephen Ronan from Blackhawk Plastic Surgery, in Danville, CA. (San Francisco Bay Area). Dr. Ronan has an impressive reputation, a fully accredited, state-of-the-art, on-site surgery center, and I just instantly felt comfortable and confident in his opinion. I can’t stress enough how important it is to make sure your surgeon is board certified in plastic surgery, has great reviews, and makes you feel comfortable. Having surgery is a major decision, and come surgery day you need to feel confident and safe with your surgeon. I recommend checking out Real Self for plastic surgery reviews!
I will be filming several videos to document my surgical journey/progress, and will share any helpful information with all of you! Even though this is difficult to share, I feel like it may help others facing the same issue, so here I am! You all have been the most incredible support system, and I can’t thank you enough!
I will be updating with before and after photos, but for now, here are some pre-surgical photos of my loose skin.
Hey guys! After over a year of weekly update videos, I feel that it’s time to switch things up a bit. Check out my video below to see what I have in mind. As always, thank you all for your continued support, love and encouragement!
Just wanted to say hi, and let you all know that I’m alive and well! If you follow me on social media then you know that my videos are delayed due to a terrible stomach bug that spread through our house! Thankfully we are all starting to feel better, and I will be posting a YouTube video this weekend! Sorry for the delay, and as always, thank you for all of the love and support!
A quick update:
My 5k was fantastic, and besides the stomach bug, I’m feeling GREAT mentally and physically! My last weigh-in was 181.8, so that’s down a total of 107.2 lbs so far.
I have a goal to lose 6 more pounds before my skin removal surgery in December. I’m excited, and nervous for this next chapter in my life. I’ve been doing A LOT of research, and I feel like this is the right choice for me. Please know that not everyone chooses to get skin removal surgery, and that’s perfectly okay too.
Remember to always do what works for you! Often times we try so hard to do what someone else did, or what others think we should do, but the truth is that your lifestyle change will be unique to your schedule, likes/dislikes, ideology, and budget. Be yourself, be consistent and be kind to yourself, and others! We are all different, and that should be celebrated!
