October 11, 2016 at 5:57 pmHello, I am new to the keto lifestyle (I read something about LCHF–low carb high fat, which sounds similar to keto). I’ve been on the LCHF eating plan for about 6-8 weeks. I feel that I have plateaued and I’m finding it difficult to find fat for my meals. I don’t like cheese, (I do tolerate it on the fathead pizza recipes) sour cream, dressings, mayonnaise, avocado, or guacamole. I also normally eat only 1-2 times daily. I’ve been eating the same few meals for the past 6-8 weeks. Any advise or help you could offer would be wonderful.

October 30, 2016 at 5:18 pmI recommend for you to review some keto food lists and plan your meals around the items that you do like. There are healthy fats in so many items besides the ones you listed. Do some research and find the things that you enjoy!

October 13, 2016 at 5:35 pmI’m curious, how did you find a doctor that would do it all at once? I keep getting told it’s a four part surgery and the cost is astronomical. I’m being quoted $25k plus.
It’s frustrating to say the least. I’ve lost 100# and I’m still wanting to lose another 50# but can’t seem to do ANYTHING with the remnants of my past without surgery. I feel very stuck and daunted at times. I still struggle with image and body conscious issues. Probably because of relationships. Any tips?

October 30, 2016 at 5:17 pmHey there. I met with several surgeons before meeting and deciding to go with Dr. Ronan. Ultimately it comes down to finding a skilled, board certified plastic surgeon that does surgery a lot, and has a great reputation. I reccomend to meet with several surgeons before deciding, as each will have a different way of doing things!
I totally understand what you mean about body image. It’s frustrating to lose so much weight and still feel like you have to hide your body/skin. I decided that skin removal surgery was right for me, and started saving for it when I was about 4 month into losing weight. I view it as a gift to myself, and another step in my journey back to health and happiness.

October 12, 2017 at 3:58 amYou are so inspiring. We are approx the same height and starting weight and you are genuinely helping me through this journey. I never thought it was possible for me to lose weight after my car accident, but in 1 1/2 months I’m proud to say that I am down 23 pounds. I’m determined to stick out the year and am trying new recipes everyday. Thank you for all that you do!
