Print recipe

Any dinner that can be made in just one skillet is a winner in my book! This One Skillet Garlic Parmesan Chicken doesn’t disappoint, and above all, you’ll be amazed at the flavor that comes out in this dish after cooking for just 20 minutes!

I’m also a big fan of dinners that can be made and on the table quickly. You can prep, cook, and serve this Skillet Garlic Parmesan Chicken in just 30 minutes. Serve with a side of your favorite keto-friendly veggies or a big green salad.

Making One Skillet Garlic Parmesan Chicken

Start by seasoning both sides of the chicken thighs with salt and pepper. Melt the butter in a large cast-iron skillet over high heat. When the skillet is very hot, place the chicken thighs into the pan.

Make sure the pan is HOT! That way the chicken will brown and the juices will be seared in and will keep the chicken juicy.

Brown the first side of the chicken thighs for 5-6 minutes. Flip the chicken, and turn the heat down to medium. Cook the chicken for an additional 8-10 minutes, until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees. Remove the chicken from the pan and set it aside on a plate.

Next, turn the heat down to low. Add the remaining butter, minced garlic, red pepper flakes, and basil to the skillet. Stir together until the garlic is fragrant and butter is melted. It won’t take long, so keep an eye on it so the garlic doesn’t burn.

Place the chicken back in the skillet and sprinkle 1 tbsp of parmesan cheese over each one. Use a spoon to spoon the butter sauce over each chicken thigh for about 1-2 minutes to coat the tops of the chicken thighs. Place chicken on a serving platter and pour the sauce over the top. Garnish with fresh basil and enjoy!
