These delicious Keto Jalapeño Poppers are my favorite keto appetizer. They’re perfect for Sunday night football, cookouts, or gatherings. These poppers are quick and easy to make with only 5 simple ingredients! Just be sure to make a few batches if you’re having company over, because they go quickly!
Start by frying the bacon until crispy in a skillet over medium heat. Set aside the bacon on a paper towel–lined plate to cool. When cool enough to handle, chop the bacon into bits. If you’re in a time crunch, a shortcut is to use pre-cooked bacon bits/pieces. If you have the time though, definitely fry the bacon. There’s something about the just cooked bacon that really adds to the poppers’ flavors.
Next, slice the jalapeño peppers in half lengthwise. If you would like to remove the stems, cut the stem end off the jalapeños before slicing in half. Use a spoon to scrape out the seeds and membranes. Do you like spicy foods? If you are a fan of spicy foods, you can incorporate the jalapeño seeds and membranes into the cheese sauce instead of discarding them. If you prefer a mild flavor, discard the seeds and membranes.
In a medium-sized bowl, use a fork to combine the softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, and bacon bits. Spoon some of the mixture into each jalapeño half. Set the peppers cheese side up on the lined baking sheet. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and slightly crisp on top. Now it’s time to enjoy all the flavors found in these keto jalapeño poppers!

June 29, 2020 at 4:35 pmThese were fantastic! I did have to add extra for the filling because my jalapenos were quite long. I’m going full keto and my husband is starting to try some of what I’m preparing for myself. He LOVED these. So yummy and defintely worth making again for entertaining!

March 21, 2022 at 4:57 pmI love spicy food and used to love eating “traditional” jalapeño poppers which are breaded. These satisfied my craving while following my keto journey. Going on my favorite hors d’oeuvres list.
