Hey there!
Lots of you have been asking me to get back on YouTube, so I wanted to be transparent and share why I needed to take a break from filming. I plan to film more as I push my comfort zones, so please subscribe to my channel. Thank you all for your support and love!

November 23, 2017 at 2:49 amWe live in such an ugly world! It is people like you who are important in this life. You are beautiful inside and out. Continue to shine, continue to grow, and most importantly, LOVE YOURSELF completely. God Bless You!

November 23, 2017 at 2:52 amThank you! I really think there is more good than bad, but the bad does hurt a lot! I just needed time to work on truly loving myself, which I think is a work in progress for most people!

November 23, 2017 at 3:29 amSuzanne, every word you said hit the nail on the head for most, if not all, of us. I applaud you for enduring despite the persecution. I’m not into connecting with people I’m sure I’ll never meet but you have become like a distant relative I check on through Instagram. Lol! Thank you for sharing yourself! (I was hoping you’d say you’ll post helpful videos!!! Yayyy)

November 23, 2017 at 4:20 pmI sat down to your YouTube journey two years ago and spent all day watching each one. I was inspired to change my life. I lost over 50 pounds and got back into doing what I loved…tennis! I went to state finals 3 times in USTA this year.
We all have different reasons why we’re damaged and (deep down) maybe none of us feel like we fit in. But I think, for me, it’s about being okay with that. Because some of us have to be here for those who are thinking about giving up. I’m feeling like my journey could be about never fitting in and learning to love that! Because it’s what makes us unique and super special. Certainly, there are things I will always need to work on. We’re all a work in progress.

November 26, 2017 at 4:30 amI can’t imagine anyone being critical of you – you have a light about you and are beautiful! I’m constantly amazed by negative people and the lengths to which they will go to tear someone down instead of putting in the work it takes to make themselves better! I am just beginning my weight loss journey and have a long way to go, but reading about and seeing your success has been such an inspiration!! Thank you SO MUCH for sharing your life and experience!

November 26, 2017 at 10:37 pmI found you over 1 yr ago, but I wasn’t ready to make that commitment. But you have always been my inspiration. I stepped on the scale August 30 (this year) and I was at my heaviest ever and I knew I had to jump into action. I am proud to say that I have lost 45 lbs since then and you are my go-to for any FB group that I’m in when people ask for help, and this is because you are so genuine. Please keep up the great work that you are doing and of course put yourself first. Thank-you for putting yourself out there and helping me to know that I can do this for the rest of my life.

December 13, 2017 at 4:23 pmThank you for not giving up when people can be so cruel. Hearing you speak and what you have gone through sounds so familiar to me. I also have experienced that hurt and in my own family growing up. Congratulations on your success both personally and with your new book.

December 14, 2017 at 1:41 amHello Suzanne, I found your information on Instagram and Youtube quite some time ago and started following you back then when you were not too many months into your weight loss journey. I remember the wonderful video you made when you were picked by Quest and was so proud of all you had done up to that point! My husband is a diabetic and is now legally blind from complications of diabetic retinopathy. He was in early kidney failure as well and had terrible lab results, He was on three different blood sugar medications as well as three blood pressure meds. We began to follow a keto diet and he is now only taking one very low dose diabetic med and two BP meds. He is considered completely controlled with his diabetes and his Hgb A1c (this looks at your average blood sugar over three months of time, should be around 5.7, 6.0-6.4 is prediabetes and 6.5 is diabetic), was 17 at first, then 12 when he began keto. Today he is at 6.2, which is considered controlled for a diabetic. He is reversing his kidney failure and continues to work on improving his health. I have been worse at doing keto, I am sad to say. I started out good when we first did this but I keep falling back to the old ways. I came across your book today and am so excited to see how far you have come now and that you have published this great looking book. I immediately got a copy and read through your introduction about yourself. I was moved by seeing how much you have changed and plan to start this new year making it my time to change for the better. I am in my 60’s and in graduate school for my doctorate in nursing, so I want to be able to lose weight and feel good enough to finish this journey I have started. Right now though, I get tired easy and have no energy as I weigh 240. I would love to be able to really succeed this time with staying on the ketogenic diet and be able to help others with the same problems that Mark and I have been through. If only we had known about this before he lost his sight! He is an artist and taught art online. He had to give up the career he loved and can no longer do art like he did since he cannot see detail among other problems. We hope to prevent others from getting into the shape that he did with his diabetes. I myself was looking at an A1c that went from 6.1 to 6.3 in three months, which was only 0.2 away from me becoming diabetic!!! So that really woke me up and I try to follow mainly keto but hate to cook so it is hard to find things that I like to eat and still stay in ketosis. I am looking forward to using your cookbook to change this about myself. I will keep you updated on my progress. And don’t you even think about listening to any of the negative comments on the internet!! It is so full of poor, sad trolls who only have negative things to say because they themselves are jealous of what you are doing. They also obviously have many problems and are hurting so they try to hurt others. You are an incredible example of something so very good, and you need to remember that!! Also remember how many lives you have already touched and will do so in the future!! God has used you in a mighty way and I know He is not finished with you yet. 🙂 Much love to you! Lori
PS: I look forward to finding some good recipes in your book that I can make and help Mark and I stay on keto. Thank you for all you have done and what a wonderful inspiration you are!

December 28, 2017 at 5:38 pmI just found your site from another site, can’t remember where. I applaud you for your honesty. I know it’s hard to not be drug down by the negative comments, but don’t let them get you down. Those comments are more about the people saying them then they are about you. Thanks for sharing your journey. I’m excited to check out your book too. I’m relatively new to keto, have been doing a lot of intermittent fasting since March of 2017, and have lost about 30lbs (have much more to go 50+) but have had a really bad backwards slide. Need to get back on the wagon and looking for inspiration. I think I found a good place here with you 🙂
Congratulations on your success and Happy New Year to you and your family.

December 29, 2017 at 4:53 pmI just found your YT, which led me to the blog. I am starting from the beginning and watching your videos as I am getting ready to start the KETO WOE. I have struggled with my weight for years, lost 160 and gained 40lbs back. I love how relatable and real you are. I so hope you come back and post to YT (Food hauls, recipes, full day of eating, tips, support, etc.). I love reading over the blog but typically I listen to videos while working from home. I know people can be hyper critical, especially on YT, but there are those of us that really love the people who freely offer support and can share their success (through all the ups and downs). Can’t wait to see more!

January 2, 2018 at 1:01 pmI saw your book on Amazon while searching for a Keto book for beginners.I started reading all about you and your story and think you are amazing and inspirational.I can relate to you because I struggle with self esteem and always have.I know that weight loss is just the tip of the iceberg but I am so excited to start this process and journey .I bought your book and hope to get my husband on board too.I own so many diet/cookbooks and this is so beautifully laid out and well done! Thank you

January 4, 2018 at 2:25 pmSuzanne, I have to say I’m so thankful I stumbled across your Instagram account last year when I really got into my keto journey (mine is weighwaydown_with_keto and we’ve communicated before a couple times). I have been so inspired by you and understand some of your struggles. I haven’t been as successful since I have allowed myself to fall off the wagon too many times, but I want this to be the year I succeed. I can’t wait to buy your book and do my part to give back to you.
I struggle with being affected by what others think of me, and like you mentioned the negative feedback is always the worst even if it’s overshadowed by the positive. I can’t tell you not to worry or stress about it, because that isn’t helpful advice to me either. But, I know those stresses and worries will pass after you’ve taken the time to absorb them and move on. They don’t define you, though. YOU do. Best of luck on your continued journey!

January 6, 2018 at 12:48 amSuzanne, this video brought me to tears. Your vulnerability and realness is so powerful. As my daughter says, you do you, take the time you need, use social media as long as it works for you. Sending love.

January 6, 2018 at 4:53 pmI just found you for the first time as a result of your appearance on the Today show. Your honesty in this video compels me to follow you as I continue on my keto journey, dealing with the emotional issues as well as the disappointment that my size 8 pants fit much better than my size 6’s after eating off-Plan way too much over the holidays. This journey called ‘health’ is physical, emotional and spiritual, and requires constant attention as we walk in ‘health’ each day. Thank you for being you!

January 28, 2018 at 4:32 pmThank you Suzanne!!! Your words, your book, your heart–everything about you is beautiful! Your book is first class! It is perfect and and shows that you put your heart and soul into it. I believe that I can do this, because of you! The time you have taken to help others speaks beyond words. Regarding the negative voices, remember that they are most likely insecure and hurting in some way and want to bring others down to their level. I believe it is human nature to let those voices speak louder in our heads than all the positive ones, but thank you for letting your strength shine through as you rise above this to make a difference!

February 22, 2018 at 12:44 amI. Just. Love. You. Healing isn’t such an easy road. If it were, we’d all be healthy and whole and not feel the need to criticize others for finding their own happiness. The brokenness in people is so sad and I’m so proud of you for loving yourself above the hurtful comments. You are beautiful and worthy of happiness. You deserve all that life tried to rob you of with your health. Keep on keeping on! Your process is helping so many people, including me!

March 10, 2018 at 7:56 pmJust FOUND you and what a joy you are. Love everything about you and your sweet self. If I could put ALL of these reviews into one magic ball and say “DITTO from Texas” I would. The world desperately needs people just exactly as you are, pls don’t change a hair on your head…Nothing! Remain true to yourself, & your family/friends and let the rest go as ‘chaff in the wind’…people hurt, they stab others in attempt to make their lives happier…messed up? why of course it is..it’s called human nature at its worst. You, sweet lady, have most definitely earned a Gold Star in the Good Lord’s Book of Life and all of us out here in internet-land will continue to be your ‘brights’ that make your halo GLOW! Stay with us and Lead On…we’re here to support you in however we can…OH, been doing this Keto thing for 1.5 mos and am down 16 lbs. My #’s aren’t as high as others, but hey, I’m a happy lady and thrilled. Will continue watching for updates. Also, Getting your book!!! Big hugs from TX, AW

March 22, 2018 at 1:47 pmThankyou for putting yourself out there. There are so many horrible people that comment on posts. Don’t let it reflect on you it is a reflection on the ugliness inside those people that troll on the internet. I had a friend who had a YouTube channel and finally she turned off commenting because people were just ugly when they spoke. So don’t let it deter you you have a gift that you need to share with those of us who need it. I just ordered your book from Amazon it’s on its way can’t wait to get it.

April 9, 2018 at 6:06 pmLove your rawness and so sorry that you had to endure that. It is so true that technology can be so good but can also be used so wrong. I love that you took time to love yourself….

May 9, 2018 at 8:33 pmDearHeart, doing the work to love yourself IS the antidote to bouts of “not-enoughness.” When we’re on-balance, we can respond to others/situations from a point of wholeness and mindfulness. You are a wise young woman, and you’re giving this Grandmother hope for the first time in a loooooong time. THANK you!!!
Kimberley
June 15, 2018 at 4:12 pmI have your book and use it everyday for recipes. It’s great! So many yummy foods that I would have never thought to try. I’ve been recommending it to my friends whether they are Keto or not.

October 16, 2018 at 11:48 pmSuzanne, I love how vulnerable you are. I have spent the last month watching your videos, looking at your website, and recently purchased your book. I feel like you are completely 100% relatable…you don’t hide the struggles and the successes. I feel like you are another version of myself…similar height/SW, struggles, etc. I have struggled with my weight my entire adult life and have been looking for a solution…and by the grace of God, I found Keto Karma. Thank you for being you…yes, you may not be perfect, but you are an inspiration to many. Thank you for being you!

December 5, 2018 at 3:41 amSuzanne, thank you for being you. People can be very hurtful, just know that is on them, you are enough. You are such a shining light. So glad to hear you will continue this. I purchased your book a few days ago, and since started keto. Thank you for everything you are sharing to help all of us become our best selves ever!
