At many tables, home fries are a staple for breakfast and brunch. They are delicious! Traditionally, home fries are made with potatoes, onions, green bell pepper, garlic, and spices. Unlike french fries, they’re not deep fried, but fried in a pan with butter. But because potatoes are a no-no on keto, I’ve created this recipe for keto home fries made with radishes instead of potatoes! This keto radish recipe is quick, easy and delicious. It has all of the other ingredients that are used to make home fries, and the radishes have the same texture as potatoes. I hope you enjoy them!
Easy To Make Keto Radish Home Fries
You’ll have this easy side ready in just 20 minutes with minimal work. You’ll need 2 bunches of radishes or about 24 radishes. Make sure to remove the green tops and cut them in half or fourths, depending on how big they are.
To make these home fries, start by melting 3 tablespoons of butter in a frying pan over medium/high heat. Once it’s hot and bubbly, add the radishes. Saute the radishes for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Don’t over stir them though – you want to make sure to let all sides of the radishes brown, so do not stir them too often.
Once the radishes are browned on all sides, toss in the chopped onion and bell pepper, and the minced garlic. Season to taste with salt, pepper, and paprika. Continue to cook for another 5 minutes or until onions are translucent and radishes are soft.
